MUSIC MINISTRY AND SUPPORT

The music you hear when you view the Hope Unites Photo Album is a gift.  Amy Ellis, a member of Hope Unites, is an accomplished pianist and songwriter.  The song you hear is one track from her album entitled "We Are One".  For more information and to contact Amy visit her on her website.

From the entire congregation of Hope Unites, we thank you Amy for allowing us to play your music on our Photo Gallery.

Hope Unites
An Inclusive Progressive Christian Church

Hope Unites is an inclusive place of worship where one's individual path of spirituality can meet and be illuminated by the God of presence, wisdom and grace that is celebrated by all. This is a place where there are many names for the Holy and where there are no creeds or doctrine in which one must believe.

We affirm that Jesus reveals both the nature of God and the nature of what we are being called to be as human beings. The nature of God is also revealed through a love and justice for all.

No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here.

Please join us for worship!  We meet on Sundays at 9:30am

6 REASONS I LOVE MY CHURCH

I love my church because it is like The Wizard of Oz – it’s about having a heart and a brain. And courage!

What I love most about my church is that it’s a place where we feel free to “think out loud together”.

You know why I love my church? Because for one hour a week I get reminded that life is more than getting up and going to work, dealing with problems, and worrying about everything under the sun.

I love the United Church of Christ because we’re giraffes not turtles; we aren’t afraid to stick our necks out. We were the first Mainline Christian Denomination to ordain the first African-American in the 18th century, the first woman in the 19th century, and the first openly gay person in the 20th century. That helps me stick my neck out and take a risk every now and then.

I love my church because the sermons make me think about things I would probably normally not think about.

Why do I love Hope Unites?  Because it’s not about believing in Christ, it’s about following Jesus!
